Concrete Polishing and Industrial Coatings in Ogden, UT
The trucks we send to Octane carry the same grinders and the same coating systems we use at home in Salt Lake City. Concrete polishing in Octane usually starts with a slab nobody has done anything with since it was poured. Maybe it’s stained from years of parked cars, maybe it’s cracked along the control joints, or maybe it’s just plain gray and the owner wants something better. Someone from our crew walks the floor first. Then you get a written price for what that particular slab needs, and nothing it doesn’t.What We Can Do for Your Octane Property
Every service we run out of Salt Lake is available here too.

Industrial Coatings
Shops and equipment bays deal with steel wheels, hydraulic fluid and floors that get hosed down every week. Our industrial coatings in Octane go over concrete we’ve ground down to bare, open pores, which is how the coating locks in and stays put when it’s wet.

Concrete Polishing
Offices, showrooms and finished basements get the most use out of a polished slab. It’s hard, it reflects light, and a dust mop keeps it clean.

Concrete Coatings
For a garage or workshop, we put down epoxy or polyaspartic and add some texture to the top coat so it isn’t slick. Concrete coatings in Octane keep oil drips and road salt sitting on the surface, where you can wipe them up, instead of soaking into the slab.

Concrete Sealing
Fall is the time to seal driveways, walkways and patios, before the first hard freeze lets water and salt work into the surface.

Self Leveling and Overlays
If a floor has dips, old patches or a slope that shouldn’t be there, self-leveling underlayment flattens it out. Worn patios and driveways can take a urethane overlay, which skips the jackhammer and the dump trailer.

General Contracting
On buildouts and remodels, our general contracting in Ogden puts permits, the trades and the finished floor under one crew, so you aren’t coordinating five companies yourself.

Waterproof Decking and Pool Decks
Pool decks and balconies get a waterproof finish with grip for bare, wet feet. It also keeps water from getting down into the slab or the room underneath.
Freeze, Thaw and Summer Sun Are Hard on Bare Concrete
Utah winters are tough on concrete. Water seeps into the surface, freezes overnight and pries the top layer apart a little each time, and road salt speeds the whole thing up. After a few winters you get the flaking and pitting that shows up first on garage aprons and the edges of driveways. A good sealer slows that way down, and a coated garage floor stops nearly all of it.
The summer problem is different. Pool decks and patios sit in direct sun for hours, and cheap coatings fade, chalk or turn slippery by August. We use UV-rated products that keep their color and still have texture underfoot. Timing matters too: outdoor coatings need warm, dry days to cure properly, so we schedule exterior work for late spring through early fall and handle garages and interiors year round.

Other Communities We Serve
Our crew also works across the Salt Lake Valley.

Homes plus light industrial space, so both sealing and floor coatings come up often.

Hillside homes with patios and driveways that take the brunt of canyon storms.

What Ogden Customers Say
Ogden Concrete Questions We Get Asked
A few quick answers before we come out.
For heavy shop use, a thick industrial epoxy or a urethane cement system is usually the toughest choice. Urethane cement handles hot water and harsh cleaners especially well. Which one fits depends on what’s being dropped, spilled or rolled across your floor.
Sprinkle some water on it. If the concrete darkens and soaks it up within a few minutes, the surface is open and taking in moisture, so it’s time to seal. If the water beads up and sits there, the old sealer is still working.
We do. If there’s a travel charge, it’ll be on your written estimate before any work starts.
Usually a day or two of work. After that, the coating needs time to cure before you park on it, and we’ll tell you exactly how long for your system.
In northern Utah it’s worth it. A fall seal keeps salt and meltwater out before the freeze-thaw cycles start.
Most old floors can be polished. We fill the cracks first, and if any old patches will still show, we’ll point them out before we start grinding.
